I've been away from the computer for a week or so due to medical school orientation - so sorry to all who I've neglected.
Monday we were driven out into the middle of the woods and made to bond. Have you ever tried bonding with 200 hundred people before? Crazy. We got separated into groups and luckily I ended up with really cool group members and facilitators.
There are so many amazingly smart people entering with me. I have classmates who went to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and other distinguished universities. I don't exactly come from a school known for its academic prowess, but we're all on equal footing, for now at least.
The next three days consisted of long, boring orientation lectures at the school. The highlight was the video on sexual harassment, which taught us to always use our grandma filter.
I can't believe medical school officially starts this Monday. I know it's going to be a bit overwhelming, but I try to remind myself that if I got this far there's no reason why I can't finish now.
